row of fantasy-trees

Making music and listening to it is a mystical experience,
the nature of which depends on your personal state of mind.
That makes experiencing music so thrilling; it "feels differently" every time
"The way you feel, is the way you sound" or the other way around.

We hope that "our sound" evokes the same positive reactions in the listener, as it does in us.
Looking at the review of the CD "TAKE-2" in the "Country Gazette",
we may say; we succeeded !

Even better, we entered the Dutch Country Home Top 40 !

During February, 1999 we reached the 33-rd position with "TAKE-2" ! !

PANASONIC home-page

Under the inspiring and skilled guidance
of Gijs (Recording Engineer)
and Arnand (Balance Engineer),
this CD was recorded "live"
during two afternoons of June, 1998
(however, without the presence of any audience).

All songs have been recorded on a 2-track DAT recorder, without any possibility of "overdub".

This way of recording was a deliberate choice to build up (a desired)
tension for both technicians and musicians.

We hope this tension can be "felt" in the recordings.
Moreover, we sound exactly the same at live-performances, as we do on this CD !

The graphics for the CD, the inlay,
and the booklet were designed
in close co-operation with Duplicase in Boskoop (NL).
Duplicase also took care of the multiplication of the CD
and the matching printwork.

Five songs on this album were composed by Jaap
and filled in musically by the other members of the band,
in a creative and inspiring way.
The matching lyrics are all a co-production
of Jaap, Ed and Mireille.

Except-2 strives for a wide and therefore varied repertoire.
That's why you can listen to "folk" and "cajun", next to "country" songs.
We wish you a lot of listening pleasure and we hope to say hello to you
at one of our performances in the near future.

"Lost love" has been selected for three "Country" CD's;

by the DCMA at the occasion of their 10th anniversary.
=> track 23 on CD2 in the 4CD-box The Dutch Country Top 100, distributed in 2001
